The Lehigh Valley

I’m active in three Lehigh Valley nonprofits, and a big fan of many more.

Martin Guitar Charitable Foundation is affiliated with C. F. Martin & Co., Inc., of Nazareth, PA, maker of fine guitars.  I have been a Foundation Board member since 2017, helping to oversee grantmaking to dozens of organizations in the Lehigh Valley and across the U.S.

New Bethany Ministries delivers food, shelter, housing, and care in Bethlehem, Allentown, and Coplay.  I am a Board member since 2013, Vice President in 2015, President 2016-2019, and Immediate Past President, 2019 – ?.

Sing Out Magazine was founded as People’s Songs by Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie in New York in 1950.  Since 1983, Sing Out has been located in the Lehigh Valley.  I helped the Sing Out Corporation get established in Pennsylvania then, and have remained a supporter and Board member since.  Since 2008, I have been Board Secretary.

There are dozens of local nonprofits that I admire … here are some that I support.
