In 2006, I joined the Business faculty member in the Business program of the Department of Accounting, Business, Economics & Finance at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. At Muhlenberg, I taught courses in management, strategy, leadership, spanning business and nonprofit organizations, developed a graduate leadership curriculum, and conducted research on cultural economics and nonprofit management.
Since I retired in the spring of 2026, here’s some of what I’ve been doing, primarily in my regional Lehigh Valley community.
- Joined the board of directors of Godfrey Daniels, a small performing arts venue in Bethlehem, PA
- Appointed an Executive Fellow at the Lee Iacocca Institute for Global Leadership at Lehigh University. Every month, I convene the Iacocca Fellows for an Executive Dialogue on leadership.
- Continue an advisory role at the National Museum for Industrial History in Bethlehem, PA, counselling on leadership and strategy.
- Served as stage manager of the Culture Stage at the 62nd Philadelphia Folk Festival
- Continue as a trustee of Martin Guitar Charitable Foundation
- Continue to serve ARNOVA, the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action, chairing the annual Research Awards for the Governance Section.
