ARNOVA: Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action is a broad multidisciplinary organization that has been an especially good environment for study and learning. I’ve been a member and attended every conference since 1993, including Orlando in 2023.
Association for Cultural Economics International: My first scholarly conference, in Fort Worth, TX in 1992! I attended most recently in Bloomington, IN in 2023.
Association of Arts Administration Educators addresses training and education needs in the arts in higher education. This is another long-time group, which resumed in-person conferences in 2023.
Social Theory, Politics, and the Arts is an interdisciplinary group with interests in arts management and cultural policy. The 2023 conference was in Lexington, KY
