I’m active in several professional scholarly groups:
Since 2024, I’ve been an Executive Fellow of the Lee Iacocca Institute for Global Leadership at Lehigh University, my graduate alma mater. Located in Lehigh’s Office of International Affairs, the Institute supports Lehigh’s teaching of leadership and global studies. I convene a monthly Dialogue among the Executive Fellows, addressing key and emerging areas of leadership practice.
ARNOVA: Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action is a broad multidisciplinary organization that has been an especially good environment for study and learning. I’ve been a member and attended every conference since 1993, including Indianapolis, DC in 2024. I chaired two sessions, and hosted an evening song share!
Association for Cultural Economics International: My first scholarly conference, in Fort Worth, TX in 1992! I attended most recently in Bloomington, IN in 2023.
Association of Arts Administration Educators addresses training and education needs in the arts in higher education.
Social Theory, Politics, and the Arts is an interdisciplinary group with interests in arts management and cultural policy. I attended the 2025 meeting in Philadelphia.
